| | We think that we know…
We are pretty sure that we know…
We can affirm that we know a relative truth!
This is the truth, ‘Goodbye to traditions!’ Is that enough? NO!
But to act upon that is what we have been called to do. We must set ourselves
apart from the traditions of the ol’ folks and we must separate ourselves from
the decaying truth of suburban tradition. It’s time to live in something
greater than the suburban Christendom. We remove ourselves from the Christian
Right, and we dismiss the fairy tails that circles around us. It is time for us
to learn something from the “unreligious.”
Is that a fright for you?
We hope not. If it is something that fears you, it is
because you call them unreligious. Maybe we should reword what was written, “It
is time for to learn something from the people that you call unreligious!”
Everyone is religious and we need to step out of our bubble.
We live in the Christendom bubble of accusation. You sit
back in complacency and bicker! That’s all that you ever seem to do. You gossip
about the whore in the town… and you forget that that is what you are to
Christ. You bicker about cuss words that kids say… and in reality it is
irrelevant (and you haven’t read the bible, aka KJV)! You complain about a
person wearing a hat in the church… oops, where the hell is that text from?
There is more to bicker about that than the little things.
Maybe… yes maybe, the reason that you biker about the little things is because
you are too afraid of the big things. I must admit… Today some students thought
of Relativity, Quantum Paradox, and Deconstruction. All which makes us question
the relevance of where the Christian faith comes from. So where is your answer?
Help us!!! Oh, what is your wise word Professor/parent/ol’ folk/weekly
Christian/etc…?
Your answer is, “Children, please remove your hats!”
Is that all you know? We dismiss your tradition… No, we do
not exactly dismiss the tradition of the hat but your tradition confined by
Christendom. As for us… it is time to be radical. Do we know where we are
going? No, but at least we are going somewhere! We are going somewhere further
than the argument of a hat.
